June 29: meet in Freestone at
9am, with trucks, to get wood.
First priority is for wood for
2 benches and 2 tables (one
chess table, one picnic table)
for the Community Garden.
Second priority is for wood
for "Apple" sculptures.
Sara's after for lunch and a swim.

6 (if necessary) for those who
want to: meet at Warren's studio
to work on benches and tables...10

at your own studio, but should
be coordinated, as we only need
what is mentioned above...
• July 6...Design
Review, 3:30 pm, City Hall. "Apples" (tentative)
• July 19...City
Council, 7 pm...Community Center..."Apples" (tentative...but
probable if July 6 date occurs).

The first
meeting to discuss
design and organization
was held May
18th, 2005 at
the Sebastopol
Center for the
Arts, located
on Depot Street
in downtown
Sebastopol,
Calif. Sculptors
interested in
participating
are invited
to attend the
planning sessions
(held the 3rd
Wed. of each
month) , meet
fellow artists,
exchange ideas
and join in
the fun. If

JAM will be Sept. 30 - Oct.
2, in the yard at the Center
for the Arts, Sebastopol.
The public is welcome. Our
theme this year is: Apples
and we will also be working
on benches and tables for
the Sebastopol Skate Park.
SCULPTURE
JAM 2004 - VII
Using redwood burl from the Miguel
Ranch in Freestone and copper from
O'Hagin's Inc. in Sebstopol, the sculptors
of Jam 2004 created five beautiful
pieces to be placed at the south end
of Spooner Park in Sebastopol. A date
for installation of the sculptures
is weather-dependent. A formal unveiling
will take place in early 2005.Participating
sculptors this year were: Warren Arnold,
Virginia Harrison, M.C. Carolyn, Aaron
Poovey, Thomas Prosser, James Stadig,
Sara Schomp, Susandra Spicer, Beth
Hartman, Maggie Gallimore, Connie
Cook, Ralph Carlson, Dwight Sims,
Dave Furger, Michael Pantzer and Branca
Harris. Sponsors for Sculputre Jam
VII included Jim Coconas, Jeffrey & Sin
Young ARnold, Karen Frazer, Lynda
Arnold and Michael Hyth and Maile
Arnold.Chunks of redwood were the
basic starting point for the teams
in 2004.
