Sculpture controversy! Art in America, free speech, the right to express oneself. All were brought into question when The Door was placed on a berm in front of the firehouse, across the street from a public elementary school and a church. Children asked .."where did it come from? Where does it lead to?" There were many answers and for some the door was possibly a way into hell. On Halloween a sign was stuck to the door saying "No exit." A meeting was called and the City Council and the mayor presided. The Door remained for one year, but now it is to be moved.
