SCULPTURE JAM 2003. Professional sculptors lead five teams. Each participant gathered materials before the jam. Each team started with the same materials, except for one unique item, which will be selected by lottery from items donated by the artists. During the jam, each team planned what to build. Friday: meet 10 AM, create plan, go to studios to assemble materials, tools, and supplies. No site work that day. Saturday: 9 to 5 & Sunday 9-3: create suclptures. Sunday 3 PM: Closing, present what was created.
Rules:Fasteners of all kinds allowed. No more than $50. in finishes can go on sculpture. Any tool to manipulate materials allowed. Can only add "cool" items. Each person brings one "cool" thing, it goes in central pile, numbers are drawn, and "cool" thing selected in turn to add to sculpture. Everything must go home on Sunday. Most likely sculptures will be displayed in front of the Center.
